Day 6: Rest, Recover, Repeat
Wrapping up week one with a well-deserved rest day! I felt pretty sore when I woke up, but once I got up and moving, I became less stiff. I focused on getting enough calories and protein throughout the day.
Since it was Saturday, I had a special birthday party (tomorrow). Friends came over to watch Miyazaki movies and eat ramen. I felt very loved and supported. I also reconnected with a couple of friends from my group therapy program last fall. One friend and I talked for three hours on FaceTime! She is also navigating health challenges, and we brainstormed ways to weave healthy habits and exercise into our lives. It’s always good to connect with close friends.
Heart recharged. Body recharged. Battery recharged.
