Day 45: Feeling Distracted

Today was a mixed bag. I had a lot of tasks on my to-do list, and I wanted to tackle most of them today. I ended up only getting a few things accomplished before the day had slipped away from me. Because of my ADHD, I have trouble starting and finishing tasks. ADHD is less about distractibility, but the inability to control where one’s attention goes. In other words, executive dysfunction keeps an ADHDer from initiating a task even when they know they should or even want to do it.

I’m tempted to cancel a workout so that I can take back the time to get on top of my growing to-do list, but then I wonder if the time I spend outside of the studio would end up actually being as beneficial as the workout. I will be getting 3 hours a week back once I revert to single workout days anyway, so now I need to focus on seeing my plan through to the end and then making adjustments.
