Day 21: Day-tada!
Data, data, data! After a decade of therapy and the direction of my career choices, I have become well aware of my preference for hard, cold facts and figures over feelings. I am a data-driven, logical, and analytical thinker. My INTJ/P MBTI, hyperindependent Holland AIE, Enneagram 4-5-8, and the fact that I know these personality/aptitude test results lean toward collecting and critically analyzing data to understand my world.
This foundation may explain why I quickly fell in love with Orangetheory: science-backed, real-time data collection on my physical work and exertion. The workouts are systems, repeatable, but varied enough to build on themselves over time. Additionally, the Transformation Challenge is a time to collect additional lifestyle data for a well-rounded picture of progress. I can research how much rest time I need, how much water to drink, how many calories to consume (updated based on daily activity), how many hours to sleep, and I can put it all together with data of the measurable values and compile them for beautiful graphs and charts to help identify patterns.
The Orangetheory Transformation Challenge model works well for me because it not only helps me build healthy habits but also gives me an outlet to enjoy the data collection and analysis component of the challenge. It’s fun, and that makes it worth the additional work!
