Day 39: Automatic PR
Today was a new benchmark challenge for me: 1/4 mile run. The short distance reminded me of running track in high school I used to do short distance runs, so I was excited to test my speed! I was able to run from 7.5-10 mph and finished in 1:50:00. It feels like the strength training is working well and my cardio fitness is catching up. I’m curious to see how I’ll do when we run it again in several weeks.
I had no previous time to beat so I had to go into the challenge with curiosity and flexibility. I really didn’t know what to expect. I was definitely running as fast as I could for that distance, but I think I’ll be able to run faster next time.
