Day 36: Week 6!
We are closer to the end than the beginning! Today marks the start of week 6 out of 8. If I can attend class two more days this week, I will have technically completed the challenge of attending at least 3 classes per week for 6 out of the 8 weeks. I still plan to continue with 4 classes per week and additional strength training until the very end, but that’s my personal "bonus" challenge!
I've noticed more muscle tone, especially in my arms and legs. However, I'm disappointed that the extra skin on my stomach from my 210 lb pregnancy hides my abdominal progress. I can feel my abs under there, but I don't think I'll be able to see them without some plastic surgery. I'm coming to terms with that; at least I know that the strength and definition are present!
Today, I achieved my highest wattage, speed, and weights in various challenges. I've made enough progress since returning to the studio that I'm starting to work my way back up to the levels I remember from when I was in better shape a couple of years ago. My slowest recovery is on the treadmill, but I'm still seeing progress everywhere. It feels great to see how much can improve in just 5 weeks of effort!
